Professionals In Town For Lone Star

Top Liberian professionals have begun arriving in Monrovia for Liberia’s Lone Star crucial 2012 nations cup qualifier at home against Cape Verde On Sunday, June 5, 2011.
Uninspiring South African based and Captain of the national team, Anthony Laffor (considered a major flop as far as his performance for Lone Star is concerned) is in town along with Romania based and harder worker Ben Teekloh as well as versatile Greek base defender Solomon Grimes.

They are expected to join the local lads in training this afternoon at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

According to reports from the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Liberia’s best footballer of the moment, Russian based skill workshop Sekou Jabateh Oliseh, who helped his club, CSKA Moscow to a 1 - 1 draw against Kuban' Krasnodar in the Russian premier league, will arrive today and join the team in training tomorrow.

The lad, who is the biggest crowd puller as far as the national team is concerned, has promised to rattle the net against Cape Verde.

Other players expected today are Egyptian based Francis Grandpa Doe, Al Husein Keita from France and Patrick Nyema Gerhardt from Bosnia while Indonesian trio James Debbah, Zah Rahan Krangar and Junior Wilson are due in town Wednesday.

Meanwhile a mixture of Lone Star U-23 and other members of the national team including some old and floppy guys edged Nimba United 3-2 in a training match at the ATS on Sunday.

Lone Star Italian coach Roberto Landi is still unconvincing as far as his duty as head coach of the national team is concerned.
